KEY RESULT AREAS
The key result areas below are based on the integration of the service
delivery and the community capacity building areas of the organisation with the
support, systems and infrastructure and the vision and values of the
organisation.
KRA 1: Building Community Capacity
MCHS will lead a diverse range of initiatives to strengthen community and
promote health and well being.
Strategies
- 1.1 Develop, implement and review a coordinated Health Promotion Strategy
- 1.2 Maintain strong relationships with fund providers and other community
service organisations
- 1.3 Enhance partnerships with Acute Health, Mental Health, Local Government,
Tertiary Education, Research sectors and other community health organisations
- 1.4 Ensure that all activities are underpinned by an evidence based practice
model with a focus on research based health advocacy
- 1.5 Engage clients, members and the broader community in the activities of
MCHS
KRA 2: Service Delivery
MCHS will offer a diverse range of high quality health and community services
to address the identified needs of our communities and in accordance with
funding and service agreements.
Strategies
- 2.1 Review and develop existing services on an evidence based model
- 2.2 Develop innovative new services on an evidence based model
- 2.3 Explore opportunities to expand Mental Health, Children and Youth services
- 2.4 Improve access through better referral, intake, waitlist and priority of
access policies and processes
- 2.5 Consolidate and develop our funding base
KRA 3: Systems, Support and Infrastructure
MCHS will develop and maintain efficient business processes and
infrastructure.
Strategies
- 3.1 Develop, implement & review our 3 year Capital/Infrastructure Plan
- 3.2 Develop, implement & review our 10 year Capital/Infrastructure Plan
- 3.3 Develop, implement & review HR Strategy, including workforce and
leadership development & performance management
- 3.4 Review and monitor current financial management
- 3.5 Develop, implement and review IT Strategy
- 3.6 Review and development of key business systems, including payroll and
finance
- 3.7 Develop and implement data management and reporting strategy
KRA 4: Promoting Our Values and Good Governance
MCHS will embrace good governance principles and practice and ensure our
values are reflected in the work of the organisation.
Strategies
- 4.1 Widespread distribution of values statements within the organisation and
our community
- 4.2 Develop, implement and review MCHS Quality Framework
- 4.3 Develop, implement and review Community Engagement Framework,
incorporating a Diversity Strategy
- 4.4 Develop, implement and review of Governance framework
